Participants hail from 43 different countries--both developed and developing countries-- and are in a variety of high-level occupations. The occupations of the 180 attendees to date have included high-level leaders in health ministries and CEOs or other executive positions in hospital organizations, health plans, insurance companies, pharmaceutical or medical device companies, health research organizations, foundations, consulting companies, global organizations such as the World Bank and WHO, care management, wellness organizations and health care communication companies. The mix of occupations is important to our goal of learning not only through small group interactions with the expert speakers but through active discussion with colleagues representing the various facets and points of view in the health care sector.
