The 2012 European session of the Global Health Leadership Forum will be held at The King's Fund in London, September 17-21, 2012. The King's Fund has been developing confident, capable, and imaginative leaders for more than 30 years. The focus of this session will continue the 2012 GHLF theme: to drive improvements and inspire change at a time of enormous financial challenges. The London GHLF agenda is being developed with complementary topics and dynamic speakers ready to share innovative solutions found at home in the UK, in Europe and other locations.

Some topics and speakers scheduled for London are: Chris Ham, CEO, The King's Fund with Steve Shortell, Dean, UC Berkeley, Integrated Care; David Halpern, Director, Cabinet Office Team, How to use behavorial marketing, Lord Nigel Crisp, Past CEO, National Health Service, member of the House of Lords, Adaptable innovations around the world, and Nigel Edwards, Senior Fellow, The King's Fund and Director, Global Health, KPMG, Predictions for policy and delivery

Additional topics will include: global successes and pitfalls in designing pay-for-performance schemes; transformative health information systems; "prioritization" in benefit and delivery design featuring the experience of UK's NICE (national institute for clinical effectiveness); prevention/wellness; contracting/purchasing; mental health. There will be choice among several field trips.
